A few words on the Parlor's Cookie Consent banner...
This was posted to the Mayfair Witches Parlor's home page several hours ago, but is also being posted on the Parlor blog and Facebook to inform as many guests as possible. Also, it provides a way for guests to ask questions if they need to.
Update on Parlor Cookie Banner
It's been a VERY steep learning curve, but if you've noticed the Parlor's cookie consent banner has had a facelift and now appears (or should appear) in the center of your screen, that's not an accident. It has been reconfigured to work in combination with the site's new Tag Manager, which is part of the Parlor's Google Analytics. The Parlor's blog is also monitored through Google Analytics.
There is a new section on the Parlor Privacy Policy, which is at the very top. These are the Disclaimers that refer to the Parlor's content. More information regarding Parlor cookies and vendors has been added to the bottom of that page, as well, under Parlor Cookie Jar. To be sure the data is correct, I created a new cookie consent banner and confirmed vendors and domains found by Consent Manager's crawlers via cookie scans and the WHOIS database.
Also included in the Parlor Cookie Jar section are a few words on advertising. While the Parlor's web host does run ads, the Parlor specifically does not and never has. Not on this website, not on the blog, and not on social media. Not anywhere. Since the Parlor's web host does run advertising, you have no doubt seen it show up. The Parlor has nothing against advertising as a general rule, but I would love to discuss HOW the advertising appears here with Google Ads, I believe it is.
First of all, the way the advertising pops up around here is an affront to my aesthetic sensitivities. It needs fixin'.
Anyway.
Please take a look and email the Parlor if you have any questions about anything in the Parlor Privacy Policy.
